Welcome to Professional Internet Pages course on how to utilize the Internet. This course has ten sections a defined above and detailed below. It is essential that the first four sections be taken in order for you to understand how to utilize the Internet. This course was developed with the Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer version 3.x browsers in mind. If you have a more current or older version of these browsers the concepts presented in this course still apply - it is the application of these concepts that is slightly different. For the details of the applications of these concepts that apply to your browser we would recommend that you purchase a Visual Quickstart Guide from Peachpit Press that is appropriate for your browser (be careful to obtain the right version number for your browser, as well as the correct browser, and the correct operating system (Windows or Macintosh)). When we discuss the applications of these concepts we will refer to Netscape Navigator browser first, followed by the Internet Explorer browser (Navigator / Explorer).
